Each
incident of data loss will result in two outcomes: either the
data is
recoverable with the assistance of technical support, or the
data is permanently
lost and must be rekeyed. A calculation of the average cost
of each data loss
incident must take into account both possibilities.

EASYRECOVERY SOFTWARE |
Many instances of data loss are
simple or non-system threatening eg a file lost
or deleted inadvertently or in error without the
ability to undelete.
Using one of the range of 'EasyRecovery' software
application from OnTrack many of these situations
can be resolved. |
|
 |
| ON-SITE |
Using the above software
and other data recovery techniques Rawdata IT are
able to apply these to enable the recovery of lost
and important data. Where there are no serious threat
to business operation this option can be the simple
and straightforward solution.
Where there are more serious consequences both Rawdata
IT and OnTrack can provide additional on-site services
to retrieve and recover important company and business
critical data. |

 |
| IN-LAB |
In cases where important
lost data does not pose an
immediate or critical impact on business operation
raid arrays, hard drives, tapes or other storage
media can be sent to OnTrack In-Lab centre for recovery.
Data recovered in this way is, in general, returned
on hard disk for re-copying to system. |
|
 |
| REMOTE |
In the most serious
and business threatening losses OnTrack provides
a 'Remote' service which can, in many cases, be
the fastest method to 'get back in business'.

An
internet or modem connection is required to allow
OnTrack engineers direct access to system.
Although the most costly option, in a mission-
critical environment, this approach can be the most
cost-effective. |
